I picked up a new desktop computer over the weekend.  Got myself a Mac again and I've switched from Parallels to VMWare Fusion (VMWare allows multiple installs while Parallels requires a license per machine).

The problem I'm having is that I seemed to be unable to sync with my mobile devices.  I had this all worked out in the past, but with the new computer, I seem to be having issues.

Can anyone point me to a thread on this topic?  I'm sure this must have been discussed in years past, I just can't find the threads.

I would check to see that the VM's network adapter is in Bridged mode and not NAT mode.

I tried it both ways.  I know when I used Parallels, that seemed to do the trick.  I did play with it the other night, but it didn't seem to work.  Of course I was also setting up a new computer and fixing up my laptop.  So it really wasn't at the top of the list to get working.  Now that I've got things mostly running, I'll probably take another stab.

I figured there was probably a multi-page thread with tons of advice from years of experience buried somewhere around here.  There probably is, I just can't find it.  I'll try a few more things.  And maybe poke around the site a little more.

Next time I'll change the networking mode and reboot.  It seems VMWare will do that on the fly, unlike Parallels.  Once it switched I could still connect to Invelos and my browser worked fine.  But maybe a full reboot is still not a bad idea.

I'd also mention to anyone else who comes along.  I did open the ports in the firewall on my Windows machine.  So it shouldn't be that.

I'll check into that.  I had other issues I was working out.  Like why my plugin reads data at an insanely slow rate.  I did get to the bottom of that one.  Now I have to get back to this.
