| Posted: | | | | Are we ever going to see an update of DVD Profiler, it's seem quite a while since there has been any sort of an update. Just under a year!! Really needs an update of some sort. |

| Posted: | | | | Updates of DVD Profiler are always released on Monday.
Which Monday that is however depends on the lunar cycle and Saturn's relative position to the constellation of Orion.
I.e.: Updates of DVDP can have intervals of 2 years or so. Version 3.8.2 was released in about November 2012. The beta testing for 3.9 began in December 2014. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Changing the rules won't lead to more contributions in my opinion. Anyone can contribute and just do the portions of the profile that they feel the rules are clear on now. And leave the "unclear" parts for the next contributor to add. (Personally I don't come across many Dutch releases that are not in the database, but that may be because I don't buy many titles on release date.) |

If there is a change of rules asking for correct data ( correct= used everywhere except in Invelos database), I'll certainly contribute again. | | | Images from movies |

Nothing is stopping you from contributing the data that complies with the rules and which isn't against your personal preference. You choose not to, which is also fine. |

| Posted: | | | | a lot of movies are not findable on EAN number or title , many of them are Dutch or other releases !

| Posted: | | | | Generally no third party databases are allowed - especially for cast and crew listing only the credits are allowed as valid source. Third party databases are only allowed where the data is not delivered with the DVD/BD - eg. release date, SRP, etc. - and only if the copyright owner of the third party database allows an commercial usage. Especially for linking of cast and crew we are building data bases in the contribution forum and linked external pages of the contributors: • Kluges BY list, • emmeli's BY data base or • my list of the common names, which is still incomplete... | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) |

If the rules are asking for incorrect data, that should certainly be changed. However, I cannot agree with the definition "correct= used everywhere". | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |
