| Posted: | | | | I'm wondering, if it would be a valuable feature, to be able to edit the initial post of a thread for a longer time. - Maybe forever...
In my case I initiated some common name searches: When the issuer can't edit this post, the post is incorrect - even worse: it shows information which looks good but is outdated.
On the other hand every user searching for a documented common name hopefully finds this thread and sees the initial post before he sees anything else. Every user taking profit of this documentation has to scroll though the whole thread for the relevant information.
I help myself by editing the topic line (this seems to be possible forever) to something like "... for latest results see end of thread" - but that's a little bit awkward...
Why is the editing feature limited to a few days at all? | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) |

| Posted: | | | | Certain topics are already like this but it's always a special solution from Ken.
But it's be a good idea in general - it would help with the plugins as well.

Not sure about this, but if you open a Support Ticket, you can request to be able to edit a specific thread. I have done this several times, but only when I thought I had a good case - and it was granted. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here.
