I couldn't find a topic on the forum tonight, so forgive me if somebody else has raised this issue. I installed the recent Android 1.1 update and have opened my database without issue a couple of times afterwards. But today when I try to launch DVDP on my Samsung tablet, it keeps giving me the following message:

"Unable to validate license. To continue to use DVD Profiler, please visit the Google Play Markerplace"

I do what it suggests, thinking it somehow has had a hiccup re-registering itself, but to no avail. Can someone tell me what's going on, as I haven't changed anything on my tablet since I last launched the application. I have a valid PC serial number (purchased 2-3 years ago), and also paid separately to download the Android app from the Google Play Store......HELP!!

Check the time setting on your tablet.

The time setting was correct, but strangely the date was entered as 15th October (tomorrow)? I haven't altered the date on my tablet recently, it was always correct. BUT, when I just changed it to today's date (14th) the application now opens without the "validate license" message. I don't know how the day changed originally, but I would never have thought it was something as simple as that....thanks for the help mate

I have started getting the "Unable to validate license" error on my Android phone.  After the error message it says to "Please check your internet connection and retry"  The only options are Quit or Retry.  I can retry 30 or 40 times without any luck.  The date and time on the phone are correct.  It has been running on the phone without problems for over a year with out problems.  I can open my browser and have no problem with internet connectivity.  Does anyone have a suggestion on something I can try?

Open GooglePlay or Amazon AppStore (depending on place of purchase) and make sure they log in correctly to the account the app was purchased with.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

According to the google play store, I didn't purchase the app from there, but there isn't anywhere else I would have purchased it.  I have found a work around. When the error message pops up I hit the back key on my phone.  The error message goes away and the app keeps running.

Any chance you used a different Google account to purchase the app?

No, I didn't even have an account set up until I purchased this app.

I'd suggest to contact the GooglePlay support.
