With barcode reader configured to read IDs from any country, you generally got the 0- form.
In the previous example, the bluray is know in the Invelos database without the 0- and so I found the profile only by title search.
Please modify the DVD profiler behavior to consider the two forms equivalent in DVD profiler inputs, even if the form without 0- is the right one to put in the database and to display in the profiles.

| | Posted: | | | | My Barcode reader finds the discs only when they are without the leading zero in the database. And the 0 is normally also not printed on the Backcovers EAN/UPC number, that counts.

Check for settings like "barcode format" and flag UPC too.

Yes, there is no 0- printed in the US because these are UPC numbers. The 0- notation is the EAN compatible UPC representation.
And no, I could not disable this behavior on my reader. It is too old.
That why it would be great to have DVDP understand the 0- notation and act accordingly (treat 0- EAN as UPC and internally remove the 0- before using the number): No more problem with miss configured reader or reader not supporting the desired behavior. |

According to the datasheet of the LS2208 it supports ADF which "Enables users to modify data prior to sending to host computer, reducing costly modifications to the host software". Please use the programming-sheet that came with your scanner to reset it to factory defaults. If it is lost, you may download one from here | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

| | Posted: | | | | ok I disable the country code for UPC-A but let the sytem code. I previously modify the configuration to get the full code because of the missing system code. The good configuration is in the middle ... I know that DVDP is in "slow" dev mode but correctly interpreting 0 prefixed UPC-A code would be very simple to implement and would greatly "robustify" barcode input functionality.
