| Posted: | | | | Hi there,
I installed the Android App yesterday onto the following:
HTC Desire S HTC One StorageOptions Tablet.
Initially I had issues connecting to my database (firewall, sorted now) so I downloaded the database from the online copy. It took a crazy amount of time, but it got there.
However, since then I've added one more DVD to my collection, and I've tried to update the phones with this new record.
Connecting, fine. It reads the database, and then copies the profiles. And that's where they disconnect from the PC. The images don't get transferred. The phones just sit there with a black progress bar where it should be copying the (only one so far) images.
I really don't want to have to go through the process of uploading the PC database then downloading it to the phones; If nothing else, that makes it impossible to update the loan status on the phone and sync it with the master database, as I did with the Windows Mobile version.
Any suggestions? |

| Posted: | | | | So just that I get this straight:
Your initial synchronisation was with your Online-Collection and you then changed the connection-type to synch with your local database?
If I read your OP correctly the the behaviour you describe is normal, since with the new connection DVDProfiler-A will update ALL coverscans on first synch that in which way ever differ from those in the online collection. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! | Posted: | | | | That is correct, I changed the connection type. The problem is that the images do not update. After the profiles are copied, the image progress bar doesn't move - and the PC shows the devices as disconnected. I'm currently trying it again and will leave them updating overnight. I'm also doing a fresh install to the tablet direct from the PC (without the prior online download) to see if that's any better. I have to say this sync process seems considerably slower and clunkier than the old Profiler Mobile program. I like the interface, though - once the data is there it's very easy to navigate. |

| Posted: | | | | Might be that your data has some corruptions then.
Please try if the synch works after performing a database repair on your PC (Menu: Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Database...) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

The HTC One and HTC Desire S both bombed out at the images section. The Tablet still hasn't got that far... |

| Posted: | | | | I experienced a similar issue:
Connected to PC based Profiler using IP-Address of PC and default port (same local network, PC firewall opened for this port). Did not allow update by Android App. Choose unlimited image size and front pages only. First synchronization worked like a charm. All later ones got stuck when trying to update images.
Tried several times, even after repairing DB on PC: no success. What worked for me: Choosing the DB on Android, selecting "Change connection type", choose the same settings again.
Maybe it is worth a try for you?
Good Luck, Micha |

| Posted: | | | | I tried that, but still no image update - even for the newly added profiles.
If I need to I can do a manual copy of the images, but that's quite a long way short of ideal. |

| Posted: | | | | Having the same problem. A while ago it would not update my latest profiles. Even when I add a new profile it won't update the image. Just get a transfer error message. It seems to update images for older profiles though. This does not only apply to the beta, had the same problem with the release version The database is stored on my SD card, and I even unmounted it and put it into my computer. When transferring images manually, again it updated some of the older profiles. But when copying images for the latest profiles, I got this: There's about 6,2 GB free space on the SD card. The image folder is 2,51 GB | | | |

| Posted: | | | | Could it be a limit on the SD card? It formatted as FAT32 and the image folder contains 21 897 files. AFAIK it's not even close to the limit. | | | | | | Last edited: by kosvines |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, though it did not solve my problem. I even copied the files into a new folder, deleted the old and then renamed it.
I did delete the latest files and it seemed like I was able to copy files. But it turns out it only allows a maximum of 21.897 files. If i remove 10 files, I can only move 10 other files.
If I check the properties on the /images folder it says this:
Size: 2,27 GB (2 443 056 914 bytes) Size on disc: 2,60 GB (2 796 519 424 bytes)
The SD card is a SanDisk 32GB | | | | | | Last edited: by kosvines |

| Posted: | | | | This has been resolved for the next version. You'll need to create a new database and perform the update when you install version 1.1. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |
