Em and En Dashes issue

I'm not sure when it happened, but I believe it occurred during the initial sync from my PC to Android, but all of my em and en dashes in all overviews were replaced by question marks!

When I update profiles from the PC version, it recognizes the difference between my local profile and the online (and updates accordingly). Any one else noticed this behavior?

Here too (Samsung Galaxy Ace 2).

Check what happens after a database repair of the PC database (Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Database).

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
