| Posted: | | | | My setting in the phone for date format is DD/MM/YYYY
date format shown now in dvd profiler on the phone is:
Purchased - March 12, 2008 released 3/29/04 last watched 6/28/12
I have a samsung galaxy S2 and version 4.1 of android.
I have the latest build of the app (downloaded a few days ago). The previous version was fine and I haven't made any changes on the phone (as far as I know). | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I'm bumping this since it's still an error for me.
And if the automatic date format doesn't always work then this changes to a change request to allow a selection within dvd profiler android program of the data format to use | | | Paul |

I'm not sure if you were trying to be sarcastic but since this is a different issue from where I raised it iin error it belongs as a separate topic. And since Ken seems to have forgotten it I'll need to keep raising it since its a considerable annoyance If Ken confirms that the application totally ignores the phone date settings (which it does with my phone - I know because I've tried three different date formats on the phone and this app ignores all the changes and just uses US format) then i'll be raising it as a new topic in the Android Feature requests. (Which will make it three different topics. ) | | | Paul |

A simple acknowledgement that this is a known issue (us dates on UK locality phone) and I would wait patiently - but they haven't responded to the issue at all.
This is an issue that only arose after the first version. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Let me have a guess: DVDP/W is running on a Win7 installation and this Win7 installation is a pre-installed OEM.
If so, check what happens if you: 1) set your Windows installation temporarily to USA (Start -> Control -> Locality and Region settings) 2) Restart Windows 3) Set locality back to UK 4) Restart Windows 5) Update your collection on your Android-device | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

We follow the same European/UK date format dd.mm.yyyy - I have a Sammy Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 My DVDP app complements the same date formats as my Windows Vista and the DVDP for Windows sw. I would presume you have checked your settings across the board. Cheers | | | Veni, Vidi, Visa, Vista, Voodoo, Vino I came, I saw, I bought, I installed Vista, I'm now haunted, I need wine
