All my cover images were downloaded from the online database when I added new movies from the PC application, and they display as intended on the PC. Up until the last version update for the iOS app, the images also showed as intended on my iPhone. Now, all the cover images on the iPhone are "placeholder" default images (all the same, a strip of film) except for one I added via UPC scan directly from the iOS app. I've tried switching between standard and hi-res thumbnails, with no change. How do I get my cover images back?

I don't know if it will help, but the first thing to try when anything unexpected happens is to perform a database repair in the PC app.

And if that doesn't help, make sure that cover images are activated under Database - Update [database name] - Options - More options. Maybe the setting was accidentally switched off during the update.

Hey!
You can  recover the missing images directly from your iPhone. Here are detailed steps:
Step 1. Connect iPhone to PC & Select "Reccover Data from iOS Device"
First make sure your iPhone is switched on and connect it to PC with USB cable. Next launch FonePaw iPhone Data Recovery on your PC. The program will detect your iPhone. You'll then get a pop-up window asking you to tap "Trust" on your iOS device to trust this computer.

Step 2. Start scanning iPhone for lost data
When the software detected your iPhone, it will show you the interface as follows. Click "Start Scan".

Step 3.Preview contacts, SMS, notes, photos, etc.
Now all scanned files are on the program listed according to category. You can choose to "Check all" or "Only display the deleted items" and then decide which to recover. To save time, you can just selectively recover those you need.

Also if you have backed up the photos with your iCloud you can follow the steps below to download photos from iCloud:

1. Run it and choose "Recover Data from iCloud Backup Files". It will automatically detect all the iCloud backup files in your computer. Tap the backup you need and click "Start Scan" button on the program interface to scan your iPhone backup.

2. After scanning, the contents of your iPhone will be shown in categories in the left sidebar. Usually the scanning will take a few minutes or so. You can check to preview details of each category, check files you need and click on "Recover".

They all the photos missing will be retrieved.

In another thread, someone commented that data can be recovered from Recover-Tool.

What's with all the replies from people with very few posts sending people to iPhone recovery software?  That's not even the correct solution to the problem.

How is this not spamming and why are the posts still present?  It's a 3 year old thread, I seriously doubt the spam is even relevant at this point.  Those posts should be deleted and if that isn't technically possible, the whole thread should be deleted.  There's almost nothing of value worth saving.

chanleen is getting a red mark.  Wish I could hand more out.

Sure .we can restore lost data from iPhone again, but if we have backup backup files , such as the iTunes ,iCloud backup , using tool is unnecessary
