| Posted: | | | | I haven't noticed this before but according to the rules Text Commentary is now covered under Commentary. Now the program still lists it as an Audio Commentary on the features section. If this change to the rules is to make some sense then the program should be updated to make note of this change for Audio & Text Commentaries are now to be covered under Commentary. Rules |

| Posted: | | | | As I have said in the other thread... been that way in the rules as long as I can remember. So really no big deal to me... but I wouldn't be against the change of name. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | don't know why it would have been changed as commentaries can be heard with eyes shut but text commentary's can't ... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | Sorry gang, but I completely missed how text commentaries are meant to be represented. It doesn't make any sense to me that they would appear under an audio commentary listing. I have withdrawn them and will keep them local because it make more sense to me to appear under subtitles because they have to be read with the eyes and don't have audio at all. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

| Posted: | | | | If the field name would be changed to Commentary we should first think how to deal with PiP commentaries. At the moment I dislike the idea that these would be included as commentaries. Then we would have to include PiP commentary audio tracks too and we would have endless debates if something is just a PiP feature or PiP commentary. With the first one you wouldn't have to add audio track too and with the second one you should. It will get messy. In my opinion we should have two separate checkboxes for Audio Commentary and for Text Commentary. PiP commentaries would get listed as Picture-in-picture. |

As far as I can see the program lists "Commentary" on the features section. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

| Posted: | | | | I originally was thinking he meant when you go into edit the profile. But I just double checked... and everywhere I look says Commentary not Audio Commentary. So I am not sure where the OP is talking about. The only place I saw Audio mentioned is in the pop-up when you hover on the Commentary Icon... but then it still mentions both Audio and Text. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

| Posted: | | | | OK, sorry my bad.
It's not in the program itself, it's actually on the contribution page. It lists Commentary as Audio Commentary.
So this likely belongs in the Website Discussion section then here. |
