I have a NMT based device and it would be great if I could use DVDProfiler as the cataloging tool, as I do today, but have an output option for the NMT.  There are tools out there (Yet Another Media Jukebox) that create the UI on the NMT but their cataloging capability is based on file naming.

Hope this makes sense, YAMJ is just painful to setup and maintain.

Ok, based on limited research, I would guess that what you want can only be obtained by a major investment by Invelos in providing a GUI and database on the Popcorn platform natively. I'm not sure how else it could be done, unless there were a DVDP client running on the NMT. I was looking to see if this was a candidate for a plugin-style solution. At this point, I think not. Seem like it would be a great collaboration.

Can you give more details what kind of "output" you are talking about, and how you would use it? I think there are some other posts about Popcorn Hour somewhere. You might try a Forum search (use Google).

YAMJ outputs "simple" HTML/XML files that are then placed on the NMT in the root directory.  The NMT just reads those.  I can get samples of the output files.  I don't think that anything needs to "run" on the NMT (this is not required for YAMJ), DVDP would just need to output the needed files in the correct format.  What would be great would be if the "plugin" would upload them to the NMT but initially if it could just output the files in the right format they could be uploaded externally.

The biggest change I could see would be the addition (or repurposing) of a field that would contain the file location/name.

Here is a link to the YAMJ NMT forum - might help.

Ok, I'll take a look. Meanwhile, can you tell me how all this relates to DVDXML?

As a HDX 1000 owner I like to give that a try.

Want!
I wouldn't use any Plugin but for starters simply build an XSLT that does the job.

Alrighty then, I'll wait. No need to make plugins people don't want.

Here is some info you might be able to use.
