Hi all.  I'm new to this whole DVD profile community and I have to say I love the software.  So the question I have is I have a bunch of home movies that I want to put in my database.  Is there a way for me to add a DVD like "Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary."  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Have fun everyone.

It’s easy .. Once you have the disc in hand and put it into the DVD-ROM of your PC The software will recognize that it does not recognize the disc ID. .It will ask . " add manually to your collection? "
You click Yes, then in the Profiler Databank  you have the options  to add By inserted Disc /Add manually the Title .
The disc will now go into an area that enables you to tweak this title (including the Exclusions*)
Add now to Owned / Ordered / wishlist ..

It is now back into your (PC)  library ready for editing:
< The running time < the year it was 'produced"<  The overview  <  whether it has chapter stops,, the audio etc etc etc .. Once it is done you'll want to add a nice Picture for the front and rear of this .. 'DVD ' . .Pick some nice Homemade jpg.s  Resize it down to approx 800x600 /insert in place . .. , Use the 'Add a Disc' Option and use the disc ID to this homemade disc as it doesn't have any other type of ID except the disc ID propertys..
backup your software -You then have the choice of offering this sight ( without jpgs) to your 'on line' database.. when you upload YOUR data to profiler on line you have it there  OR you'll have the choice of not sharing this with others on line and there is a *Big hand in Red you'll see that has the ability to stop this from showing up on your on line data base..
and last things last--- Do not try and add this title to the main databank.. Because we can't buy it, ,nor do we want it to be added to the Hollywood stream of store bought disc ID/UPC titles..

Which is why I always suggest making manual profiles. Add by title and unchedk "Downlload from Invelos" in the bottom corner of the screen. This way there is no way it can be added to the online dattabase... not even accidentally.

Indeed, this is the best method.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I have added some 'manual' profiles into my collection.  How can I afterwards find only the manual profiles (I want to make a selection so that only my manual profiles show up) ?  Thank you

Sort by UPC, descending.

And if you add a tag to all manual profiles, you could filter by that.

You can create a tag for "Manual Profiles", then be sure to tag each one.

Then you can filter on the tag.

providing you are using the latest version (3.6) you can create a custom collection as well and have your manual profiles in that collection
