Hate being rude this way But what If: You are an old dvd profiler user, with a premium account since October 6th 2002 And one day during December 2009 you are confronted to a virus attack and a crash disk as well. Well it's not a problem at all just restore backups and be back soon. Yep but can't put the hand on the old invocative software key registration. So just send an email explaining the trouble and providing a lot of proof regarding your old account and so on, to the charming owners of that so nice software company. In return get only this robotic answer: "Do you have your original PayPal transaction ID that could be used to validate the account?" Then provide the original PayPal transaction ID as asked And get nothing in return, even after asking again, and again, and stil get nothing after 2 month. So being enable to restore your more than 700 dvd titles due the unregistered limitation software, you install and old version and export your collection elsewhere. I did love your software, but acting that way with customers - and it’s not about the 30 USD or whatsoever but a just a matter of principle – is definitely gross. Regards |

| Posted: | | | | were you restoring and adding titles up to Dec 2009 or did you stop back in 2002? What was you login name? I have formatted my harddrive and went to main page- put in my username and password ,, and voila everything worked.. Maybe Ken or Gerri can help you with this.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Hate being rude this way But what If: You are an old dvd profiler user, with a premium account since October 6th 2002 then the 1st thing I do when when I register at Invelos in June of 2007 is I make sure to get my account transferred over... Quote: And one day during December 2009 you are confronted to a virus attack and a crash disk as well. Quote: Well it's not a problem at all just restore backups and be back soon. Yep but can't put the hand on the old invocative software key registration. So even though you registered here in 2007 you never upgraded to 3.whatever it was? Seems a bit odd. Everyone I know that registered here quickly upgraded. There was no reason not too. Quote: So just send an email explaining the trouble and providing a lot of proof regarding your old account and so on, to the charming owners of that so nice software company. Actually IVS, the company you paid the money too, is no longer in business. They had multiple owners, of which Ken Cole was one. Quote: In return get only this robotic answer: "Do you have your original PayPal transaction ID that could be used to validate the account?" Wow - seems really nice of them to help you track down your error, especially since IT'S A DIFFERENT COMPANY! Quote: Then provide the original PayPal transaction ID as asked And get nothing in return, even after asking again, and again, and stil get nothing after 2 month. So being enable to restore your more than 700 dvd titles due the unregistered limitation software, you install and old version and export your collection elsewhere. Too bad. Quote: I did love your software, You loved it so much you never upgraded?!? You've never used the Invelos spftware version in 3 years, not for 700 titles anyway. Quote: but acting that way with customers - and it’s not about the 30 USD or whatsoever but a just a matter of principle – is definitely gross. Seriuosly? You loose your registration information from another company 8 years ago and you are blamming Invelos? When you computer crashed I'm sure you lost other software. I'm sure if you didn't have your windows key Microsoft would have just given you a new one with your receipt. It's up to you to keep these things, not the software provider. I know if I loose my registration codes for other programs I'm SOL. Good luck with your new software. I don't think you're going to get much sympathy around here... |

If that works the first thing you should do is upgrade to the latest version. In the meantime drop the bad attitude. I just tried the old IVS site for my information and bang zoom, up it came. Typed in my user name and my password that was it. If you can't remember your old information you may be SOL, but that is hardly Invelos' fault. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! | Posted: | | | | According to our records, you have already upgraded to an Invelos key via the free conversion of InterVocative keys, under the account name patkenoby. Sign into that account and click 'Registration' to view your key. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

So backup your data! |

| Posted: | | | | I missed the part where he said he restored from backups so he did have a backup of data. Good job on that! I have a mail folder that I aptly named "Important Emails" that I keep all my registration emails and I frequently back that up as well. So I update my previous statement to read "So backup your registration emails!" |

| Posted: | | | | This is an observation, kind of amusing in a way ... I have noticed that in a lot of cases, a post is made, often by a "newbie" that generates a flurry of help/comments/rebuttals, whatever from us. Then 10, 20, 30 ... posts later, still not a single word from the OP. It's like we're talking to ourselves sometimes ... I wonder if in all of the sincere attempts to help this OP, whether he has actually read it, cares about it, or feels that perhaps our efforts might have affected his original negative opinion? How's about it Patken? What are you thinking now? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

Agree 100%... but from the other side of the coin I think. He created a thread to attack, not to ask for help. He expressed frustration but not in a "what am I doing wrong" manner, it was "these guys suck" (literally). Had he just expressed his frustration and came here looking for help I know there are many here (myself included) who would have helped him figure it out. He only posted here to tell us all how bad Invelos is, and as you say, what goes around... |
