I would like to be able to add more than one country in the country of origin dropdown area.  A good number of the movies I have in my collection have more than one country of origin in their IMDB entries.  Additionally, I think it would be nice to be able to freely add to the list of countries as there are some countries that are not in the dropdown list ie: Republic of Macedonia, Russia, Bulgaria.

But, we absolutely need one MAIN country field. There are so many movies co-produced with money from some weird country were noone cares or knows about. Also, if I filter for German movies I don't want to see something like Star Wars pop up just because some small amount of German money was involved (bad example, can't think of a correct one)

In the past I've suggested to implement this as a checkbox list very much like we have for Subtitles. I still think that's the best solution.

@ hydr0x: I'm not too sure about the need for one MAIN country field. There are plenty of movies for which is it far from obvious what that main country would be. Also, I have difficulty making statements regarding what "no one" cares about - more often than not, you WILL encounter people who care about something, no matter how far-fetched it may seem to you yourself.
