| Posted: | | | | Hello DJ Doena, Hope you enjoyed the 'Folding Frogs' presentation, & the information at Wilders (2nd link post #1). Other 'Distributed Projects' from the likes of: University of Oxford, Scripps, & others are available all worthy causes. The granddaddy of 'Distributed Computing', is (they started it all) is/was U.C. Berkley, with there SETI project, searching for ET's. Folding@Home FAH - has several modes of operation, one is 'Screen Saver Mode' where nothing happens until, your screen saver comes on, which is replaced by FAH screensaver. I use (with my 4 year old computer) always on, this mode has a 'slider switch' to allow as much processor time/power as I want, also you can select the file size your/my computer works on.
