| Posted: | | | | Richard III starring Lawrence Olivier et al. Fine performances but you need to be in the mood to watch it or it is a total snore. So far I have not got past the first 15 minutes despite a couple of attempts. The day will come I hope when the mood strikes. | | | Last edited: by Telecine |

| Posted: | | | | I've been very good so far. There is not a single movie I regret buying, not even Battlefield Earth. But to be fair, there are ~530 titles I have yet to watch. What I've been really lucky with though, is Anime. I've bought quite a few, sometimes some really big orders (especially during the Geneon clearout sales at RightStuf), and so far, I've loved every single minutes of each series I've bought. And they are ALL blind buys. | | | Last edited: by RossRoy |

| Posted: | | | | Biggest regrets: Strange Days Silence of the Lambs Hannibal (which I have not, and will not, watched) Lone Star Bedazzled Fantasia 2000 (only because so much was repeated from the original, otherwise it was ok) French Connection 1 & 2 Looney Tunes: Back in Action (I had loved Space Jam and hoped this one would be as good - it was a major disappointment) Mortal Thoughts Royal Tenenbaums
TV Series: A Bit of Fry and Laurie: This was a bit of a disappointment I Dream of Jeannie: It was not as good as I had remembered from my youth - I probably won't complete the series The Protectors: Not as good as I remembered - I probably won't complete the series | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

| Posted: | | | | Maid in Manhatten - was on business trip in the US for something like 4 weeks, had seen everything potentially worth seeing in the cinima - couldn't think of any decent DVD to buy that I didn't already own, so even though I knew it would be bad I picked it up hoping I might be slightly surprised now I exected the worst.... I wasn't.... instead I was extremely surprised that it was SO much worse than what I feared. | | | Regards Lars |

I don't understand how you could regret purchasing any of these three films . May I ask why? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I don't understand how you could regret purchasing any of these three films . May I ask why? I don't like Horror as a general genre, and I found 'Silence of the Lambs' a little bit too horrific for my taste, and after my sister and brother-in-law described some of the scenes in Hannibal, I could not even bring myself to watch that one! It also took me several years before I could bring myself to watch Silence! As for 'French Connection', I just found it a bit too abstract and violent for my tastes. There did not seem to be any point and believe me I sat through both. The premise on the overview seemed good and I had heard people talk about the movie as being good but I found that the way it was portrayed was just beyond me! It may have been my mood when I watched these two. | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

| Posted: | | | | I think my only regrets are when a TV series is re-released and I can't justify a double-dip at tat cost. This isn't always the fault of the company either, unlike films where they're often out to rip you off, just where a different company gets the rights after a few years or in a different region.
P.S. What is WB in the "Poor WB handling" statement; FWIW SFX mag said they loved the release (though that was the R2). | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

I wouldn't go as far as to say I regret buying the TV series, but the Alias Rambaldi box almost made me regret buying the individual seasons. |

But that doesn't diminish the fact that a long-overdue series made it to DVD. Yeah, the sound was awful but it is what it is. The Transformers series from Rhino was even worse but I'll never regret recapturing that part of my childhood.
I've regretted a few DVDs, which I won't embarass myself with. | | | I was wise once; when I was born, I cried - Welsh proverb |

| Posted: | | | | The Transformers sets were great! Nice quality, cool extras, awsome packaging. What more can you ask for? The He-mam franchise had even better luck - with comprehensive array of extras, amazing video & audio qualities, and well made packaging. WB did a piss poor Job with Thundercats. Pirated-like video and audio, simple & unenthusiastic packaging. BAD replacement program... They failed in every aspect! And to top all of that - The price was/is outrageous! And this comes from a huge Thundercats fan! I'm such a die hearted fan that I own thundercats@gmail.com | | | October 12th, 1985. Tonight, a comedian died in New York. | | | Last edited: by liorb22 |

| Posted: | | | | With 2800 titles there are a few that I don't like, but I don't regret buying them anyway. You always get something from watching a movie, even a bad one.
If there is one DVD that I truly regret buying it's "Burger Cop" with Sammo Hung. Not because of the film, but because it's the worst ripoff of a DVD that I have ever seen.
It says "Restored and Remastered". Pah! It's a straight port from a Laser Disc and it even has different langauges in the left and right channel (Cantonese and Mandarin, I guess). This was fairly common on laser discs - players could always select left or right mono track - but should never ever be done on DVD!!! | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
