| Posted: | | | | Thanks Ken, for your continued support. I've just checked, and I've passed my 20 year Profiler anniversary this month.
But who else has paid for the Android version, the Windows Mobile version, the Apple version, and the Kindle version, as it wouldn't recognise that I'd already paid for the Android version? |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you. This has made me far happier than it has any right to! I feel like a guy who for years has sat on his roof each night sending out radio signals into the universe and then one evening gets a reply! And when will I ever not feel like the new kid on the block around here, with only 14 years since registration? | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

| Posted: | | | | Thank-you for the update on the server issue and fingers crossed that the Android version will be addressed. I first purchased a Pixel 6 which lost the Google Store version of DVD Profiler. I was able to repurchase the App from Amazon Appstore. Fast forward to 2024 and I updated my Pixel 6 to a Pixel 8 only to find that I again lost the DVD Profiler App. I've been using DVD Profiler since 2007 and haven't found a better Program/App to manage my DVD collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Well this is going to be an unpopular post, but here goes.
I’m somewhat perplexed. Ken is clearly a very clever chap who built a wonderful product, and along with it came a community. That’s not to say that Ken owes us anything. Indeed, he has been ignoring you all for literally years — whether it be interest of the software, or his own welfare - was he alive, even?
And then one post and you are all falling over yourselves to thank him — really? For what ? He hasn’t even signalled a return to active participation. If Ken wants to let his software die slowly, that’s fine — it’s his choice. I won’t criticise him for that and none of us have the right to an explanation. Get a grip - the man isn’t Jesus. |

Yet you feel the need to criticize others for their gratitude that Ken keeps the online database functioning. This seems rather odd to me. --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | Ken still visits the forums whether he responds or not and Gerri stopped visiting the forums in 2021. It's clear something changed, but we don't know what. He did replace the server recently so it's clear he doesn't want to kill the software just yet. Would it be nice to have more interaction, response, and updates... sure, but unless he's willing to share any info we may never know his plans. |

At least he could tell us what's going on - is it personal problems/health issues? Has he somehow lost all the source code in a disc crash (my own guess)? Or something else? I'm not saying he owes us anything, but a bit of simple, common courtesy would be appreciated... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |
