| Posted: | | | | Hi Ken,
Will there be an option to swap to the Iphone licence and surrender your existing Mobile licence or for a % off or reduction to surrender your mobile licence? Just wondering as i no longer have a need for that licence and don't have a windows mobile as i have moved to the Iphone.
Thanks,
David. |

| Posted: | | | | The iPhone being definitely the best multimedia communicating device so far, it really makes sense to have an application such as DVD profiler available on the platform. The few specific DVD collection apps currently available on the store are just plain miserable compared to what DVD profiler is capable of (even compared to the current online collection). I’m quite sure that if there is a web app and its mobile version on the iPhone (a lot of iTunes store apps actually use this model), a lot of Mac users will agree to pay a yearly fee to the web app, and you could then deploy the iPhone (or iPod touch) at no charge. For the ones (like me) that do own the DVD profiler version on Windows, the link to that web app could be addressed just as for our current online collection update. The alternative for Mac users who don’t want to pay yearly fees, is to use parallel to run native DVD profiler. In conclusion, I think the strategy to have a DPO developed application and its web companion for iPhone (or potentially any other mobile platform with decent web integration) is the way to go; I think the comments for deployment on various devices (Nokia, Blackberry, Android, etc…) proves that is the best of the way to go.
By the way, I sign up for any alpha or beta program you intent to develop for the iPhone 3G version. |

| Posted: | | | | Glad to hear there will be a Iphone version. Though hope it works with the touch, as that is what I have. Just need to be able to view my collection to stop me buying what I have already!
Thanks Ken, keep them coming! ;) |

| Posted: | | | | I will admit it but I am impatient. When I read the news of Ken developing the iPhone App I was very excited. I am addicted to my iPhone. I would love to have this app. Like most people here I own DVD Profiler and the Mobile Version. Even if I have to pay again for another license I will do it. It would be an awesome app for the iPhone. I need more news please.... I check this post like crazy for any updated news, but like I said before I am impatient. |
