Thanks for the support, but I am fed up by being attacked every time I post on this forum. I saw that moderation had come to this forum, and that is why I came back. But moderation haven't changed anything, so I'm going of the grid again.
If the forum gets better, I will come back. Because I love this software and are a collector of DVDs and Blue-rays. I want to contribute, and I do on a regular basis. But it's very hostile, and being attacked because I contribute to the database is bad.
For now i will suspend my contributions, and only do it localy.

Although I understand completely, I am very sorry to hear that you have been treated so badly that you feel the need to do this.

Ken, Gerri and monitors please  note that yet another member of this community is leaving. They are not going to contribute and your product has become less valuable because of it.

No one should have to feel that they are subjected to a hostile environment. Inequity and inconsistency in enforcing of the violation of invelos rules had resulted in yet another loss to the community.

But, it is important to note that, like so many others, the desire to return to return and contribute to the community exists.

I hope that you return pompel9. And when you do, you find the community to be a better place than when you left.

I personally think you are being overly sensitive on this....

How can you reproach someone to be hurt by agressive attitude ? The problem is the behaviour of bullies (general statement, nobody is meant), certainly not the sensibility of victims...

Yes, I am from Norway and english is my second language. And I'm sorry to see that you feel that I attack you, wich was never my intent.

I must thank the people who didn't attack and tried to make this a good discussion.

Enough said. I will come back, but only if this forum is getting better and the voting and contribution process has been improved.
I noticed today that one of my contributions was declined, with no reason at all. That is not an encouragment to contiue to contribute.

Because I felt the initial aggression from their post before any I may have shown.

Then I apologize for any aggression you felt on my part.

As for the decline... if there was any no votes to your contribution that may be able to explain the decline. If not I can't offer any type of suggestions unless you want to give some details about the contribution.

This is very subjective. Though you always denied this intention, I always found your own attitude towards me as very agressive. You often said it was not, so I trust you and consider now it is not, and I do not answer anymore to what I feel as attacks from you.  Just to show you the way things are felt may be very different from one person to another.

And if you didn't notice... I apologized for the misunderstanding. Stuff like that will happen. There is no ways around it. Especially in a large group of diverse people.

So much can be misinterpreted because of the diversity of the people and the fact that we are not communicating face to face.

Recognizing there was a misunderstanding, you took steps to correct that. Saying I'm sorry is one of the hardest yet most important things to do when misunderstandings occur.

There was one no vote, and he or she always vote no to my contributions.

There had to be a reason of some sort attached (that is the only way to vote no)... what reason did this person give? Just because this person votes no all the time... it doesn't necessarily mean that the reason for the vote is wrong.

I stopped reading, because he is always voting no.

Then you are saying that I contribute bad profiles, I don't like that. You just got a red arrow.

That isn't what he's saying.

There are very few users here who deliberately contribute bad info. It's possible that you've misinterpreted something within the rules. Without more info, it's impossible to say why it was declined.

How do you know what he's saying? I don't know, but it sounds like he is accusing me.

He is correct that is what I was saying.

What I was saying is that for anyone to vote no you have to write a reason for the no vote or it will not go through. I meant nothing more then that.

These reasons written needs to be at least looked at because people (everyone... Me, You... and everyone else) makes mistakes. Whether we miss something... make a typo or read a rule wrong... or even forgot about a particular rule.

If you don't look at the reasons for the no vote you might be doing something wrong without even realizing it. I am not saying you did anything wrong just that it is possible that you made a mistake... just like any one of us.

I did not read it that way.

"...it doesn't necessarily mean that the reason for the vote is wrong."

I read this as saying that hypothetically the voter may be right. It is not saying that the voter IS right, only that they MIGHT be.

Of course... without seeing the reason he gave.. as well as seeing the profile that was submitted... there is no way to say if the vote was right or wrong.
