| Posted: | | | | There's actually many native Iranian films and DVD's out there. You won't see the majority of them in the western world of course, but they do exist. I even recently saw a new release on the shelf in Blockbuster for an Iranian film. Now whether or not many people in the Profiler community actually own them is another matter. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I agree, Kiarostami is a very popular director and I think there are even two of his movies in the Criterion Collection. IMHO every country that has a movie worth being included in either the CC or Masters of Cinema should be available as an option in profiler | | | - Jan |

I completely forgot that I've even seen that one before, and it's quite a good film! | | | Corey |

Skip That's one "true american" view of life. How many countries called "other" are on your globe? (Warning: sarkasm, no offense to all our open-minded US-Profilers ) Everybody has the right to make a feature request, and adding a COUNTRY is IMHO a valid one, since he is not asking for adding some little huts called "Bimbambulu" in the deepest jungle. | | | Last edited: by SpaceFreakMicha |

True American? I resent that prejudicial remark. As a "True American", I have no problem what-so-ever with the OPs request. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Skip I have several films produced in Iran (Kandahar comes to mind). I see absolutely no reason not to add it to the system. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

Spaced: I happen to fully understand that such is relatively useless, but that if I needed I would check Other and then set up a tag for Iran and guess what i then have the data, not only that i can search on it too. In other words the power is in the users hands. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Skip No it does not, a "work-around" that you are happy with exists. Tags are great, I use them for lots of things. I have a tag group that I use to mark the "original language" so that I can keep track of languages not yet in the audio list. In this case we can select the audio 'Farsi', but not the COO. Do I need this added? No, I don't have any films from Iran. But I do have two films from Iceland, that I can mark the COO for! I think we can all agree that Iceland is not the worlds biggest film producing country! Skip, anytime that you tell someone that tags would be a "work-around" is great, but to tell them they don't need a feature just because you don't is not. pdf | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA |
