| Posted: | | | | Same.. I use PowerDVD7. Though admittedly, I can't say whether it's the best, as it's the only one I've used. It serves it's purpose and has the features I needed so I didn't really feel the need to look around too hard. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

| Posted: | | | | My first DVD Rom drive came with the OEM version of WinDVD (v3 back then), and I've never looked back.
I tried PowerDVD a few times, mostly after reading some people praise its greatness, but I guess it's a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I like WinDVD the way it is, so when I got to try PowerDVD, the interface felt all wrong, and the keys to accomplish basic tasks are different enough, so I just sticked with WinDVD.
I'm now at v8, and I've bought every version since. |

For Windows Vista: PowerDVD 7.3
Personally, I liked PowerDVD 6 better, but alas it doesn't work with Vista.
WinDVD isn't too shabby either... | | | Corey |

Skip Nope, it's not compatible with Vista. Vista has rather limited compatibility with many older Windows programs, so you are virtually forced to upgrade to newer versions. | | | Corey |
